Grande Prairie’s first ever winter triathlon is just over a month away, and organizers are hard at work preparing what will be the Winter Whiteout course at South Bear Creek Park.
A skating oval is being built up at the Wee Links Driving Range, while snowmobiles are being used to compact snow around the park for the cross country skiing and snowshoeing components.
The Winter Whiteout will be held on January 25, but the courses and rink will be open to the public throughout the winter once they are finished.
