UPDATE: Bad weather won’t dampen Street Performers Festival

UPDATE: With a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Grande Prairie throughout Friday evening, those looking to take in the first night of the Street Performers Festival are wondering what will happen if the clouds open up.

A spokesperson for the City of Grande Prairie tells MyGrandePrairieNow.com, “In the event of inclement weather, the City will work with the festival to find an indoor location and make an announcement at that time.”

More information will be made available if the decision is made.

Jugglers, acrobats, musicians and more are gearing up to hit the streets of Grande Prairie. The 19th annual Grande Prairie International Street Performers Festival starts this Friday on the corner of 100 Avenue and 100 Street.
