As the old saying goes “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” and a new program at the County of Grande Prairie is running with that idea.
The ‘Drop and Swap’ program will take gently used items from residents, and instead of getting rid of the item, the second-hand item will be donated to a family, organization or individual.
An area has been created inside the Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management to receive items like furniture, appliances, tools and construction materials that anyone can drop off and/or pick up completely free of charge.
