Police looking for two suspects allegedly passing fake bills

RCMP detachments are asking people for information about a pair who may be the ones passing out fake $100 bills throughout the Peace Region. Fort St. John RCMP has released a photo of a man and a woman they believe are connected to the crimes in Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.

On July 11th, Grande Prairie RCMP received around 20 reports from business owners about counterfeit $20, $50 and $100 bills being used in the city. Mounties are asking business owners and cashiers to be diligent when handling cash.

Anyone with information on these crimes or the two people allegedly involved is asked to call their local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
