Good news has come for internet users in La Glace and Valhalla Centre. The federal government has announced that it will provide more than $472,000 in funding for company GPNetworks to bring new or improved high-speed internet to those areas.

“By providing better broadband connections, we are increasing the potential for economic growth and diversification and enhancing the quality of life in small and rural communities,” says Minister of Rural Economic Development Bernadette Jordan.

This funding is part of the government’s High-Speed Access for All strategy which was created to make sure all Canadians have access to affordable high-speed internet no matter where they live.
