The Canadian Cancer Society is looking forward to the fourth year of their Face Off Against Cancer Fundraiser.
The annual hockey tournament is set to go January 23 to the 25.
Cancer Society Revenue Development Coordinator Angie Dauncy says she is aiming to have 14 teams signed up for the tournament by the end of the month, but single players are welcome to sign up as well.
“So if you just want to come out and you don’t have a team, you can go onto our Face Off Against Cancer website, and you can join any of the teams that are there. Each team has between 12 and 14 players, and you just have to be over 16.”
Dauncy says it’s going to be a great, hockey filled weekend.
“It’s no contact, we’re just going to have everybody play each other and have a fun time. We’re doing a few fun things this year that are a little bit different than years past, so if you’ve been to the other ones and enjoyed it, you will definitely enjoy this year.”
There is still room for teams to register for $500, the deadline is the end of the month.
