Ainsworth Lumber Co in Grande Prairie will soon go by a new name.
The B.C.-based company is merging with Ontario-based Norbord Incorporated to create one global wood products company.
Its focus will be on producing oriented strand board across North America, Europe and Asia.
Norbord has agreed to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Ainsworth, and those currently with shares will get part of a Norbord share.

Ainsworth will also take on the Norbord moniker.
There are no other immediate changes planned for the Grande Prairie plant.
