Candy Cane Checkstops in Grande Prairie tonight

Alberta Health Services, the RCMP, and other community agencies will have a Candy Cane checkstop set up in Grande Prairie this evening.

The festive checkstop is reminds drivers about safe driving practices this holiday season.

Motorists pulled over to a checkstop receive a candy cane, as well as reminders about preparing their vehicles for emergencies with warm clothes and flash lights, about driving to the conditions on snow covered roads, and of course to never drink and drive.

Candy Cane Checkstops will also be set up in Valleyview on December 6, in Grimshaw and Fairview on the 12, and in Hythe and Beaverlodge on the 22nd.
