Grande Prairie based Mixed Martial Artist Ian Stoby is set to represent Canada at the upcoming Under 18 IMMAF World Mixed Martial Arts Championships.
Stoby, who trains at the Gladiator Martial Arts Academy here in the city, will be competing in the A-division, for 16 and 17-year-olds in the 155-pound category.
Stoby, who is no stranger to international competition, most recently won a gold medal for sparing at the Taekwon-do world championships in Melbourne Australia this past February.
The Mixed Martial Arts World Championships will be held in Rome, Italy on August 3rd and 4th.
