Valleyview RCMP recover the remains missing man in the MD of Greenview

Valleyview RCMP has recovered the body of a missing man in the MD of Greenview.

Police say they recovered the body of Barry Goodswimmer on June 30 in a rural location near the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. After an autopsy in Edmonton, the medical examiner confirmed the cause of death as a homicide.

Prior to the remains being found, police charged 22-year-old Allan Hamelin and 39-year-old Harlin Martineau with first-degree murder, kidnapping and assault with a weapon.

Authorities say no further details about the case will be released as it is now before the courts.
