Local students "painting pinkies pink" in support of breast cancer research

A local 12 year old and her father have come up with a unique and stylish fundraiser for breast cancer research in Grande Prairie.

Olivia Paglialunga asked if she could paint her dad’s nails pink in support, and he let her paint his pinkie fingers as a compromise.

Now, students from the area will be manning booths at Walmart this weekend and the Prairie Mall next weekend painting pinkie fingers in exchange for a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Donors will also have their name put into a draw for one of three gift baskets donated by local businesses.
