Storm forward invited to Senators Development Camp

Despite not hearing his name called on draft day, Zachary Okabe still heard from an NHL team. The Grande Prairie Storm forward has been invited to the Ottawa Senators Development Camp.

Okabe has spent the last two seasons with the Storm. In a total of 118 games, he had 53 goals and 62 assists for 115 points. He has committed to playing for St. Cloud State University in Minnesota this upcoming season.

The 2019 NHL Entry Draft was held in Vancouver on June 21st and 22nd. Development camp will run from June 25th to June 28th.
