City launches downtown enhancement survey

The City has allocated $5 million a year for the next four years to upgrading streets downtown, and is now looking for the public’s input.

Rachelle Dillon is a project manager with Intelligent Futures, a Calgary-based consulting firm.

She says they’re looking at the street design and want to know what residents would like to see downtown.

“It could be something like being able to walk downtown, or have new businesses. As well, we have three sample street design pictures there that we’d like the public to look at and pick their preferred option, but most importantly tell us why.”

A survey can be accessed at www.ourdowntown.ca, or in paper form at City facilities before January 12th.
