Santa Claus Parade awards handed out

After being postponed for a week due to frigid temperatures, hundreds of Grande Prairie residents headed downtown yesterday to take in the annual Santa Claus Parade.

The winners of the best float awards have been decided, with the County of Grande Prairie receiving the best service or community club award, URS Flint taking home the best commercial float award, and ATCO Electric winning the award for have the best children’s float.

As well, the Peace Draft Horse Club’s Northern Spirit Light Show float was the best animal drawn display.
