City releases “active play” schedule for summer 2019

If you’re looking for activities for your kids this summer, look no further than your neighbourhood park.

The City of Grande Prairie has released the schedule for the 2019 Active Play Summer program, which offers up free drop-in services in parks across the city for the months of July and August.

The program runs from about 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, and is run primarily by volunteer leaders in an effort to give kids an alternative to staying inside during the summer if their parents are at work. The program is designed for kids between the ages of 8-13.
