AHS launches a photo contest to show off area new hospital will serve

As construction of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital continues, officials at Alberta Health Services are hoping some local photographers can help them make the inside of the building a little more welcoming.

A new contest launched Tuesday asks for shots which show the “diversity of the area that the hospital will serve”, which includes areas from the BC border, to the Northwest Territories and throughout northwestern Alberta.

In a statement, AHS says winning photos “may be printed as wall graphics from three to nine feet tall and adorn public areas, waiting rooms and lounge spaces at the new hospital.”

Photos can include a wide variety of subjects, including nature, landmarks, cityscapes or culture.

People can submit as many photos as they can snap, with the deadline for submissions set for July 12th. More information on the contest can be found here.
