Former Storm player joins coaching staff

The Grande Prairie Storm’s latest hire may look familiar to some people. The team has hired former Storm player Jordan McTaggart as its new strength and conditioning coach.

McTaggart recently completed his Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Kinesiology at Augustana College in Camrose. He says he’s excited to return to his home town.

“Obviously with the way the game has evolved, strength, conditioning, and nutrition are more important now than ever. I’m looking forward to working with the coaching staff here to develop top-tier athletes and hockey players that will compete for scholarships on the national level.”

McTaggart spent three seasons with the Storm from 2011 to 2014, wearing the ‘A’ in his final season. Over three seasons he had 21 goals and 24 assists for 45 points.
