Three arrested after police recover allegedly stolen Mustang

UPDATE: As of July 2019, Seguin was sentenced to seven days in jail on two breach of recognizance charges. The charges for possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and one charge of breach of recognizance were withdrawn.

As of September 2019, Brosseau’s charges of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance were both withdrawn.

Peers is due back in court on October 21st.

Three people have been charged after Grande Prairie Rural RCMP tracked down an allegedly stolen Ford Mustang.

Mounties say at around 10:45 p.m. on May 29th, they located a stolen Ford Mustang on the west side of Grande Prairie. When they arrived on the scene, they found three people inside the vehicle. All three were arrested without incident.

Police say during the search of the vehicle, they also found meth, cocaine, and a number of tools believed to be stolen.

Thirty-year-old Corey Peers, 24-year-old Hayley Brosseau, and 46-year-old Richard Seguin have all been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of meth and possession of cocaine.

Seguin was remanded in custody, Peers and Brosseau were released. All three will appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on July 10, 2019.
