Grande Prairie man arrested following alleged crime spree

A man has been arrested following what the RCMP is calling a two-day crime spree in the City and County of Grande Prairie.

On May 31st, police found the man at a house in the Hillside neighbourhood as he was loading items into an allegedly stolen cargo trailer. When they arrived they say the man drove off in a stolen truck that was later abandoned in Clairmont. Another truck was later reported stolen from that area.

Later on that morning, police found the man in that stolen vehicle pulling a stolen trailer. He hit another vehicle while trying to get away from the police.

On June 1st at 3:20 a.m. the Rural Crime Reduction Unit and police dog services tried to stop the driver but he left the scene again. Around 8 p.m. that day, he was found and arrested at a home in Grande Prairie without incident.
