Forest area wildfire danger level low

Due to rain and cooler temperatures, the wildfire danger level in the Grande Prairie Forest Area is now low.

A fire ban and off-highway vehicle restriction does remain in effect for most of the forest area except for parts south of the Wapiti River like Valleyview and Sturgeon.

A fire ban is also still in effect for the City of Grande Prairie. The County fire ban was lifted on June 6th at noon.
