Grande Prairie Storm name new Assistant Coach

The Grande Prairie Storm will have a new name and face behind the bench when the upcoming season kicks off in the fall. The team has announced that Ryan Aasman will join the Storm as the new Assistant Coach for the 2019/2020 season.

“I’m excited to work with the current roster players and new players coming in to develop these athletes as hockey players and as young adults. I look forward to working alongside Matt and the rest of the staff; it’s a very exciting time to be part of the Grande Prairie Storm,” says Aasman.

Aasman joins the team after a successful stint with the Lethbridge Midget AAA Hurricanes. On the ice he most recently played a year with each with WHL’s Spruce Grove Saints and WJHL’s Drumheller Dragons, picking up 53 points in 99 career games.

Aasman replaces former Assistant Coach Blake Cosgrove, who had been with the team for the past two seasons.
