In the spirit of giving, the Village of Rycroft and the volunteer fire department in that community will be collecting donations of food, toys, and cash on Saturday.
Dolan Isaac is one of the organizers of the Reverse Santa Claus Parade. He says once collected, all donations go directly to the local FCSS.
“They use those donations to help make up their Christmas hampers, and if there are any cash donations left over, they use that for next year. We’ve also used it to help families out during the rest of the year.”
Isaac says the parade will start around 10 am on the east end of the village, and go door to door collecting donations.
Anyone who may not be home at the time can also leave donations on the front step, or drop them off at the village office.
