A website has been set up for those who wish to donate to those currently evacuated from the High Level wildfire area.
Those who wish to land a hand can fill in a questionnaire on the Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership website, and once the needs of the evacuees are assessed, GPREP officials will contact potential donators.
GPREP officials say there is no current need or press for donations. As of Sunday morning, 640 evacuees are set up in hotels in the Grande Prairie region.
An information line for evacuees currently in the Grande Prairie has also been made available. Evacuees looking for additional information can call 780-567-5587 anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
GPREP opened a distribution operation at the GPRC evacuee registration centre on Friday. Available items include necessities such as toothpaste, water and other basic daily amenities.
