Peace Regional RCMP search for attempted robbery suspect

RCMP in Peace River is on the lookout for a suspect after an alleged armed robbery in the town on Friday.

Police say around 9:45 a.m., a suspect followed an employee into a business in the 100th Street and 96th Avenue area and produced what appeared to be a handgun. Mounties say the suspect ultimately fled the scene on foot and was last seen running toward 101st street near 97th Avenue.

The suspect is described as male, with a slender build, standing approximately 5’5. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, sunglasses and black pants.

Police say no one was harmed during the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call the police.
