Three local judo athletes are on their way to represent Grande Prairie at nationals. Michelle Grisales, Sydney Kinderwater, Mattea Seitz from Hoku Sei Kan Judo Club will compete on May 17th and 18th at the 2019 Canadian Open Judo Championships in Edmonton.
Michelle will be participating in the under-18, 57-kilogram category, Sydney will take part in both the under-16 and under-18, 57-kilogram categories and Mattea will be competing in the under-16, 70-kilogram category.
The U-18 events will be held on May 17th with the U-16 events happening the next day. The competition will be held at the University of Alberta Butterdome.
