Alberta oil patch raises more than $1 million in Movember

The streets of Grande Prairie are a little less hairy today, as Sunday marked the final day of Movember – a global challenge to grow moustaches and raise money and awareness for men’s health programs.

For the fourth time, Canada led the world in donations, raising more than $18 million for prostate cancer research.

The Oil Rig Rumble Network raised more than a million dollars, with MEG Energy and Arc Resources as the top fundraisers.

Here in Grande Prairie, the Global Raymac Furveyors rounded up $4,500, while the GP Tax Dusters raised 1,430.
