Drivers heading south on Highway 43 towards Little Smoky are being urged to take an alternate route as a vehicle fire has slowed traffic to a stop.
The incident, which happened on Highway 43 near Township road 654 shortly after 12:30 Thursday afternoon, closed the highway as crews dealt with the fire.
The highway currently has one lane getting through, however, officials warn motorists they can expect major delays for the time being.
No word yet on when the highway will be fully reopened.
