First-year Good Shepherd School teacher Annika Jacobsson has been named the Edwin Parr award nominee for the Holy Family Catholic Regional Division.
The Fairview, Alberta native who graduated from Kings University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Education teaches the Grade 4 class at the school with a dynamic flare according to school officials.
“Annika has an excellent grasp on student learning styles. She regularly includes visual, auditory, tactile, and physical teaching strategies that allow her to adapt to the variety of learning styles in her classroom,” says Good Shepherd School Principal Tina McDonald.
Jacobsson also volunteers her time with as a coach for the Jr/Sr High badminton team, as well as getting involved with the Track and Field program.
The zone winners for the Edwin Parr award will be announced in November.
