Coach Matt Keillor pens two-year extension with Grande Prairie Storm

Matt Keillor will remain behind the bench for the Grande Prairie Storm for at least the next two years after signing an extension with the club.

Keillor took charge of the team on a full-time basis in the middle of the 2015-2016 Alberta Junior Hockey League season.

The team had slumped to the bottom of the league standings prior to his arrival, but have yet to miss the playoffs since his taking over of the position from former coach Kevin Higo.

Keillor led the storm to a 30 win season in 2018-2019, losing to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons 3-1 in the first round of the AJHL North playoffs.
