Rotary Dream Home winners decide to move in

The couple who recently picked up the keys to the 2019 Rotary Dream Home in Grande Prairie has decided they’re moving in. Sandra Van Schaick says she and her husband Dwayne have put their current home up for sale and are looking forward to the move.

“[There’s] tons of room for everybody to mill around, we love to entertain, we like to do family get-togethers and you couldn’t find a better house for that space wise [so] it’s awesome.”

The 2546 square foot home in Carriage Lane Estates, valued at $1.4 million features an indoor gym, wine cellar, a theatre and comes complete with an 18-foot slide. Aside from the dream home, the couple is no stranger to winning as they have also won two cars in lotteries.

Van Schaick says they don’t have a moving day set yet but the wheels are in motion.

“We’re fortunate enough to be put into this situation so we’re going to play it by ear [and] take our time. We don’t want to rush decisions and [we] can’t wait to be settled into the new home and have our first party.”

2day FM is proud to be a gold sponsor of the Rotary Dream Home Lottery.

Correction: A previous version listed the name as Wayne Van Schaick. The correct first name is Dwayne. We regret the original error.
