UPDATE: One person injured in Highway 40 tanker crash

UPDATE #3: One person was taken to hospital as a result of Tuesday’s tanker rollover on Highway 40. RCMP says the semi swerved near the North Imperial Road and took both tankers into the ditch, blocking traffic for several hours.

While they were carrying crude oil, it didn’t leak. The 39-year-old driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. Occupational Health and Safety has been notified.

UPDATE #2: Traffic is now flowing in both directions. RCMP says it is looking into all factors of the crash.

UPDATE: Traffic on Highway 40 has reopened to one lane in alternating directions. Drivers should still expect delays.
