Travis Toews projected to win Grande Prairie-Wapiti riding

The United Conservative Party’s Travis Toews is projected to be the MLA-elect for Grande Prairie-Wapiti. The rancher took an early lead in Elections Alberta unofficial numbers, enough for the victory to be projected by Global, CBC, and CTV News.

Toews is the projected winner over the NDP’s Shannon Dunfield, Alberta Party candidate Jason Jones and Independent candidate Terry Dueck.

The UCP has been projected to pick up enough seats to form a majority government.
