Tree pruning to begin at O’Brien Lake and Muskoseepi Corridor

Users of the Muskoseepi Corridor and O’Brien Lake are asked to keep an eye out for crews who will be kicking off seasonal tree pruning in the middle of April.

The trees selected for removal or modification due to hazard potential will be sanctioned off, with signs up, to ensure the safety of the public and workers.

The city says when modifications need to be completed, Parks Operations officers will remove the top section of the tree to ” mitigate fall hazards while retaining a portion of the tree for wildlife habitat”.

No timeline as to how long crews would be in the area was provided.
