If you know a family in the community that could use some help this holiday season, the Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation would like to hear from you.
The organization is holding their second ever ‘Sparky’s Secret Wish’ campaign.
Firefighter Dan McLean says people can nominate families in need through their Facebook page.
“Families will nominate people they know going through a tough time, whether it be a medical problem or financial hardship. We’re looking for the names and ages of the people within the household affected, we want to know their story and the situation going on.”
McLean says the foundation reviews the submissions throughout December, and close to Christmas, will distribute $10,000 worth of gift cards the the families selected.
