Four players and a coach named to Alberta Cup teams

Grande Prairie will be represented at this years Alberta Cup. Four Grande Prairie Minor Hockey Association players and one coach have been named to rosters and will hit the ice on April 25th.

Forwards Jaxon Boucher and Lucas Schuett and Defenceman Ty Doucette will be playing for Team Grey while Goaltender Connor Stojan will represent the city on Team Yellow. Stojan will be joined by Kyle Weegar who will be the team’s assistant coach.

The Alberta Cup is the top Bantam hockey tournament in Alberta. 120 players are participating and were selected following three regional camps held March 29-31 in Calgary, Blackfalds and Spruce Grove.

Eighty players from this competition will be chosen to attend Team Alberta’s Provincial Camp in July, with a chance to represent their province at the 2019 Western Hockey League Cup in Calgary.

The tournament will run from April 24th to 28th at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre at Red Deer College. A full schedule can be found here.
