Operational budget deliberations continuing today

Today is day two of the city’s four year operational budget talks.

As it stands, administration’s proposed budgets would mean 4.5 per cent increases to taxes per year, over the next three years, and a 3.8 per cent increase in 2018, but council still has to sift through and make changes.

About 30 items have already been flagged for review, and there are still two more departments making presentations today.

The city’s operating budget in 2014 was $141M.
