Northern Spirit Light Show returns for a 6th Christmas season at Evergreen Park

One of Grande Prairie’s most festive traditions is back at Evergreen Park this weekend.

The Northern Spirit Light show will run the next two weekends, and then every day from December 11-31, except for Christmas day.

Cheryl Kimble with the Peace Draft Horse Club says one change to the layout of the lights this year is the location of their Heaven Sent display.

“We’ve changed it up so that people can now see Heaven Sent, which is lit with angels, stars, and candles. They are generally lit by people in the community in memory of a loved one that has passed away.”

All proceeds go towards supporting various local charities and organizations.

“We have not made the decision as to where the general funds will go from the light show, but Heaven Sent will be supporting PACE, the Odyssey House, the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre, and the Young Persons and Families with Cancer Society.”

You can also donate food items at the light show , which will be donated to the Salvation Army and to the Sunrise House.

Admission is $5 per person or $15 per family on the wagons, vehicles are $15 each.
