New PC Association of Alberta president from Grande Prairie

At only 27 years old, Grande Prairie’s Terri Beaupre has become the youngest ever president of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta.

Beaupre spent the summer as a campaign organizer for Jim Prentice, and will be replacing Jim McCormick after being elected at the AGM this weekend.

She says she’s looking forward to working more with the new premier.

“He’s making some really good changes in the government right now, so I really want to be part of that. I want to work with a lot of volunteers; I’ll be a volunteer and build our party up. I’m looking forward to 2016 and winning a majority government.”

Here in Grande Prairie, Beaupre and her husband run View-worx Geophoto, an innovation company that does everything from aerial pipeline inspections to construction.

Beaupre is also the VP of Fundraising and Events for the Grande Prairie Wapiti PC Association.

Leading up to the 2016 election, she will be busy working with the executive director and 52-person board to make sure the party is connecting with its constituencies.
