JDA Kings eliminated from NWJHL playoffs

The Grande Prairie JDA Kings have been eliminated from the North west Junior Hockey League playoffs. The Fort St. John Huskies took the series and the Championship title in game six at the Crosslink Centre on Saturday.

This final was a real back and forth series with the Kings striking first, taking game one in overtime. The Huskies took games two and three before Grande Prairie came back to tie things up in game 4 with a 6-3 win. Game five went to the Huskies forcing a due or die game six for the Kings.

Even though the Kings fell short they aren’t ready to hang up the skates yet. They will now be attending the Alberta Junior B provincials in Wetaskiwin April 4th to 7th.
