A hold and secure order for St. Patrick’s School and Alexander Forbes School has been lifted.
RCMP asked that both schools lock their doors around 2:23 pm this afternoon while they searched for a male suspect in the Patterson neighborhood that was reportedly carrying a pistol in a gym bag.
Police say there was no immediate threat to the schools, the hold and secure was simply a precautionary measure.
A male suspect has since been taken into custody.
