MLAs back to work on Monday

Alberta MLAs are heading back to work on Monday.

The third session of the 28th Legislature will welcome new Premier Jim Prentice to his position, along with some new MLAs and cabinet ministers elected in October’s by-elections.

Grande Prairie-Smoky MLA Everett McDonald says he is looking forward to getting to work with Prentice’s leadership.

“Every premier brings a little different flavour to the table, a little bit different vision. Premier Prentice has been out across the province this year talking to Albertans about his vision, and we have a tremendous amount of support right now. I’m looking forward to helping Mr. Prentice implement his ideas.”

McDonald says following the throne speech on Monday, this session will run through until December 17.
