Starting on Tuesday, there will be a weight restriction on gravel roads in the County of Grande Prairie. All gravel roads will be at 50 per cent axle weight from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily until further notice.
The County issues road bans during spring thaw and during inclement weather when gravel roads are especially vulnerable to damage. The ban is a standard procedure put in place by the province and municipalities in order to protect infrastructure.
