UPDATE: RCMP says one person is in custody after officers responded to reports of a man possibly armed and barricaded inside a home around 8 p.m. Friday night. No one was injured.
The man’s identity is not being released at this time. An investigation continues but the area has been cleared.
People in Peace River have been asked to avoid the area around a home near 84 Avenue and 98 Street. Police are currently on scene at an unfolding event.
“Traffic is currently being re-routed and the public can anticipate a high police presence in the area,” RCMP says.
