Event to help stamp out racial discrimination set for Grande Prairie

On March 21st, Grande Prairie will hold host to a free event marking International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

“Grande Prairie has definitely made strides in eliminating racial discrimination. That’s why we continue yearly to hold events like the events on March 21st, is for us to continue to eliminate racial discrimination in all forms in our community,” says Community Development Co-ordinator Tammy Wentzell.

The event will feature a keynote speech from Carla Cuglietta, the Co-Founder of YoungLeaders World. Also expected to attend are the team from Hustle in Heels, Change Avenue as well as the Odyssey House

Wentzell believes the event could go a long way in the continued positive trend the city is heading in.
