Registration now open for Grande Prairie's first ever 'Try-It Day'

A chance for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 to try out some of the different sports on offer in Grande Prairie is coming up later this month.

The Grande Prairie Sports council is organizing the city’s first ever ‘Try-It Day’.

Executive Director Karna Germsheid says Try-It Day is beneficial to sports organizations, parents, and kids.

“It’s great for the sport organizations, we’re helping increase the profile of a lot of really fabulous clubs we have in the region. And this way the kids can actually explore a sport without committing to a full registration, so they can really dip their toes in and find the sport that fits them.”

Try-It Day is happening on November 29, and kids can sign up for free on www.gpsportcouncil.ca to take part in two different 45 minute sessions at one of 8 facilities in and around Grande Prairie.
