Series to focus on effect of technology on families

The City of Grande Prairie is holding a series of events this month to try to help families get closer together as technology becomes a bigger part of their lives.

“We felt it was relevant not only here in Grande Prairie, but in today’s society to have some information,” says City of Grande Prairie Event Coordinator Cheryl George.

“A Path Forward: Simple Connections and Stronger Families” guest speakers Charmaine Hammond and Dr. Phil McRae will hold a number of seminars on March 15th and 16th. They will be discussing topics such as conflict management, technology trends and the impact on social health and family relationships

George says the topics may feel new to many, but they’re worth taking a deep dive into.

“Technology isn’t going away and I think everyone started to see the effects it was having on relationships and family dynamics.”

Ticket information and a full event schedule can be found at the Revolution Place box office.
