Repair crews continue to work on a secondary leak found in the Village of Rycroft water main. The repairs, which are taking place near 52nd Street and 47th Avenue, and a detour is in place.
Residents can expect disruptions in their water service throughout the day, however, it’s expected the repairs will be done by the end of Thursday.
The problems all started on February 27th, after a leak was detected in the water main system, and water service was shut down for nearly a week to try and fix the issue.
Officials warn residents that when water services do return full time that discolouration and sediment will be present in the water, but the flow should return to normal in little time.
A state of local emergency and boil water advisory remain in effect.
