UPDATE: Extreme cold warning ended

UPDATE: The extreme cold warning has been cancelled.

Another extreme cold warning has been issued for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview areas. Environment Canada says windchills between minus 40 and minus 45 are expected tonight into Friday morning. Temperatures should warm up by Friday afternoon.

People are being reminded to cover up as frostbite can develop in minutes. Pets should also be kept inside as well.
