Nitehawk Recreation Area’s annual Ski, Board, and Bike Swap is coming up this weekend.
The two day sale event gives Grande Prairie residents a chance to unload old equipment and make some cash, so others can get into a new sport without breaking the bank.
Nitehawk’s Assistant General Manager Johnathan Clarkson says the ski swap is also their second largest fundraiser of the year.
“We cut you a cheque for 80 per cent of the sale price, and we take 20 as a donation to the ski hill, and it goes towards helping us with snow making for the season.”
You can drop off your used equipment at the Entrec Centre on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
The sale itself is on Saturday from 9 am to 1 p.m, but Clarkson says you want to make sure you get there early, as things move quickly.
