If you have an outstanding violation ticket or have missed a court date, Grande Prairie RCMP may come looking for you this week.
10 officers from various districts across western Alberta have come to the Swan City to track down people who have warrants out for their arrest.
In just one day, they’ve executed 29 search warrants and made 20 arrests for everything from from unpaid fines to serious Criminal Code offences.
If you think you might have an arrest warrant, you’re encouraged to head to the RCMP detachment to deal with them to avoid police showing up at your home or work.
Corporal Roy Kennedy says in most cases it will likely just result in a new court date being set.
